1971 Buick LeSabre coupe spotted in Chicago.
I love the look of this LeSabre. Restoring this car would take away so much of what makes it great. I’ve read that linseed oil is good for preserving old paint and bare metal but it has to be applied regularly and I’m not sure this car’s owner would put in the effort.
In 1971 this car came with a computerized traction control system called MaxTrac. The top-of-the-line version had an extremely massive 455 cu in (7.5 liter V8 engine that offered 360 horsepower (270 kW) and
an amazing 510 lb⋅ft (690 N⋅m) of torque at 2800 rpm. What a mean beast.
